Capo Riace — Krimisa Coastal Walk

Calabria

The beach of Riace Marina is where a snorkelling diver discovered the Riace Bronzes in 1972 — two life-size Greek bronze warriors from the 5th century BC, now in the Reggio Calabria museum and considered the finest Greek bronzes ever found. The coastal walk north from the beach is through Mediterranean scrub above clear Ionian water. The beach itself is remarkably quiet.
