Rapallo — Castello sul Mare

Rapallo's little castle was built right on a rock in the harbour to defend against Barbary pirate raids, and is now connected to the seafront promenade by a short walkway, distinct from the inland Madonna di Montallegro sanctuary the town is also known for. The flat harbourfront walk gives views of the castle from multiple angles.
