Punte Alberete, Ravenna

Emilia-Romagna

Fed by the Lamone's old course, Punte Alberete is one of the last freshwater swamp-forests of the Po plain: white poplar and ash rising straight out of the water, a heronry of egrets and night herons, and — in spring — irises and marsh orchids. A flat marked loop with hides threads it.
