The Prati di Sant'Orso are an unbroken green carpet between Cogne and the hamlet of Gimillan, kept open for hay and winter skiing. Flat paths cross the meadow past the old mine cableway toward Lillaz, with the Gran Paradiso icefields filling the head of the valley.
