Ponte del Diavolo
Calabria
This viewpoint looks down on a stone bridge spanning the Raganello torrent at one of its narrowest and deepest points, right at the entrance to the great gorge. Civita itself is one of Calabria's Arbëreshë villages, settled by Albanian refugees in the fifteenth century, and its distinctive 'case kodra' houses are visible from the trail. The gorge below drops away sharply, making this one of the most photographed spots in the Pollino massif.
