Monte Dolcedorme (2,267 m) is the highest point of the Parco Nazionale del Pollino — the largest national park in Italy. The summit ridge has ancient Bosnian pine (Pinus leucodermis) trees over 1,000 years old — natural monuments. Wolf and golden eagle. On clear days the Calabrian coast and Sicily are visible. The approach from Cozzo del Pellegrino passes through beech and pine. Dogs off-leash.
