Pizzo del Diavolo

This rocky spur juts from the flank of the Sibillini's highest massif, its scree-strewn slopes and jagged silhouette giving it the devil-referencing name locals gave it generations ago. The exposed terrain near the top demands sure footing but rewards with a view over the Piano Grande and, on clear days, as far as the Gran Sasso to the south. Chamois occasionally graze the higher rocky ledges.
