This colossal granite dome near Natile di Careri is among the largest monoliths in Europe, its bare grey rock breaking dramatically from the surrounding chestnut and pine forest. Local legend ties the rock to a submerged town swallowed by the earth, a folk memory possibly linked to real medieval landslides in the area. The base trail offers striking views up the sheer face without requiring technical climbing.
