Piano di Castelluccio — Bordo Walk
Umbria
The bordo (edge) walk around the Piano Grande plateau at Castelluccio gives views 600 m vertically down into the lentil fields — the karstic edge drops away suddenly at the plateau rim. The walk follows the plateau edge on the high side through Monti Sibillini meadows. The bordo is best in June during the fiorita (wildflower bloom). The loop past Forca di Presta gives views of both the Piano Grande and the Umbrian valley.
