Monte Vettore (2,476 m) is the highest peak of the Monti Sibillini National Park — and the highest mountain in the Marche-Umbria Apennines. The Lago di Pilato below the summit is a small glacial lake with a species of fairy shrimp (Chirocephalus marchesonii) found only here on Earth. Apennine chamois on the ridges. The 2016 earthquake epicentre was below this summit. Wolf pack.
