The Piana del Dragone is a "polje" — a closed basin ringed by the Terminio mountains, farmed in summer and flooded into a broad ephemeral lake in winter, when the water pours away through the Bocca del Dragone swallow-hole. A near-level lane loops the edge, good for birds and for the mountain reflections.
