Pian di Spagna — Lago di Mezzola

The Pian di Spagna wetland and Lago di Mezzola at the junction of the Adda and Mera rivers is the most important inland migration site in Italy — 300+ species recorded. Osprey, black stork, marsh harrier, little gull and Caspian tern all pass through in significant numbers. The wetland connects to Lago di Como. Dogs on leash on the circular dyke walk. The spring migration (April–May) is spectacular.
