Peschici, Gargano Coast
Puglia
Peschici on the Gargano coast sits on a 180 m promontory — white cube houses in Arabic style above turquoise water and the faraglioni sea stacks. The village was founded in the 10th century by the Slavic Dalmatians. The coast path east gives cliffside views of the bays and the Foresta Umbra plateau above. Lanner falcon on the cliffs. The sunset from the promontory is one of the finest on the Adriatic. Dogs on leash.
