The road from Sulmona to Caramanico crosses this wooded saddle between the sheer west wall of the Majella and the long ridge of the Morrone. Meadow and beech paths radiate from the pass — toward Monte Amaro, the Rifugio Di Marco and the Morrone hermitages — with wide views both ways.
