Canavese Walks — Pont-Saint-Martin
Piedmont
Pont-Saint-Martin has a perfectly preserved Roman single-arch bridge (1st century BC) and is the gateway to the Aosta Valley. The walk along the Lys valley and back through the lower hills passes Roman ruins, wine estates (Canavese DOC) and medieval towers built by local nobles to control the valley trade routes.
