The oak and chestnut ridges between Marzabotto and Grizzana keep the ruins of Casaglia, San Martino and other hamlets where hundreds of civilians were killed in autumn 1944. Marked paths link the memorial church and the Peace School through quiet, slowly rewilding countryside.
