Parco Naturale Puez-Odle

This nature park protects a huge, treeless upland of pale dolomite between Val Gardena and Val di Funes, a landscape that feels closer to a lunar plateau than typical Alpine terrain. The Odle group's needle-like towers rise abruptly along the northern rim, and the plateau itself hosts alpine choughs, ptarmigan and occasional ibex.
