Parco di Porto Conte, Alghero

The Parco Regionale di Porto Conte covers the northwestern tip of Sardinia around Alghero. The white limestone cliffs of Capo Caccia (132 m) drop vertically into the Ligurian Sea; the Grotta di Nettuno (Neptune's Grotto) is one of Italy's finest sea caves. The park has free-roaming wild horses and the Sardinian deer (cervo sardo) at high density. Dogs welcome on the extensive park trail network.
