Parco Pineta di Appiano Gentile, Como

The Parco Regionale della Pineta di Appiano Gentile e Tradate is the largest lowland forest in Lombardy at 5,000 ha. The forest floor has native Scots pine and English oak. The Prealps viewpoints give views to the Alps on clear days. Roe deer and wild boar are common; great spotted woodpecker and jay are abundant. Easy flat walking entirely suitable for families and dogs.
