Villetta Barrea — Molise Gateway
Molise
The Molise side of the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo near Castel San Vincenzo is the wildest and least visited part of the park. Apennine brown bear confirmed — camera traps regularly. The Volturno river source is a short walk. Golden eagle soars over the limestone walls of the Mainarde ridge. Almost no visitor infrastructure — pure wild southern Apennine experience.
