The Valle di Rose in Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise is one of the best places in Europe to spot Marsican brown bears in the wild. A wide valley trail crosses meadows where bears graze in the early morning. The park also hosts the last Apennine wolves and chamois reintroduced in 1991.
