Marche
The Parco Naturale Regionale Monte San Bartolo north of Pesaro is the only significant coastal cliff section in the Marche — 6 km of clay and sandstone cliffs above the Adriatic. Peregrine nests on the headland. From the ridge on clear days Croatia (120 km) is visible. The cliff base has a narrow beach accessible only by boat. Roe deer graze the scrub on the cliff top.
