Parco Fluviale del Tevere, Todi

Umbria

From the medieval bridge of Ponte Rio the Parco Fluviale del Tevere follows the river through low wooded gorges — the "Forello", riddled with caves — toward the still water at the head of Lake Corbara. Flat paths and a cycle route run the bank under poplars, with kingfishers and, overhead, resident peregrines.
