Parco Fluviale del Nera
Umbria
This park protects a long stretch of the Nera river as it winds through the Valnerina, popular with canoeists tackling the gentle rapids and families picnicking along the shaded banks. Poplar and willow line much of the route, giving way to steeper gorge sections further upstream near Ferentillo. It connects several of the valley's historic villages via riverside footpaths.
