Mola di Farneto — Veio Park

Lazio

The Mola di Farneto is a 16th-century watermill in the Veio park that grinds grain with the Cremera river. The walk from here follows an ancient Roman road into the Etruscan plateau, passing the Ponte Sodo — a Roman-era tunnel through which the Cremera river was channelled to prevent flooding of Etruscan Veii. Still in use as a path.
