The Spina Verde regional park covers the low hills that screen Como from the Swiss border. Its paths link the ruined Castel Baradello, the "Trincee" of the WWI Frontier Line, prehistoric carvings at Pianvalle and several cool springs, with viewpoints over the city and the first basin of the lake.
