The Brughiera Briantea protects one of the last real heaths ("brughiere") of the Lombard hills — heather, birch and oak on gravelly moraine — together with the wet woods and ponds of the Fontana del Guercio spring. Flat tracks and cycle paths cross it between Cabiate, Carugo and Lentate sul Seveso.
