The Parco Regionale del Serio between Crema and Bergamo protects the Serio river floodplain. White stork has colonised — 15 pairs now nesting in the park. Otter was confirmed in 2022. The old black poplar trees on the river banks are up to 150 years old. The flat cycling and walking paths on the river dykes are ideal for families and dogs. Kingfisher is resident throughout.
