The Vallo di Diano is a flat-bottomed valley at 500 m altitude in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano national park (UNESCO). Buffalo graze the plain producing the mozzarella di bufala served throughout the park villages. The walk across the valley floor and into the surrounding chestnut hills reveals the breadth of this extraordinary biodiverse park.
