Capanne di Cosola (1,447 m) is on the main Ligurian-Piedmontese watershed above the Grue valley. The ridge walk from the Passo della Bocchetta passes through old beech forest to open ridgeline with views of the Po plain, the Alps and on exceptionally clear days, the Ligurian sea.
