Monte Cuccio (1,050 m) is the highest point of the Palermo mountains rising immediately behind the city. The walk from Bellolampo reaches a limestone ridge above the smog with views of the Conca d'Oro (Golden Shell) plain, the Norman cathedral of Monreale below, and Ustica island 60 km offshore on clear days.
