Grotta Zinzulusa — Otranto Coast Walk

The Grotta Zinzulusa near Castro Marina is a cave at sea level with stalactites and the endemic blind crustacean Typhlocaris salentina found only here. The coastal walk above the cave gives views across the Strait of Otranto to Albania (visible on clear days — 80 km). The Adriatic sea below the limestone cliffs is famously clear. Loggerhead turtle nest on the Otranto beach.
