Where the San Savino sluice controls the lake's level, a mosaic of reed, willow and flooded meadow has become the best birdwatching site on the Trasimeno — herons, bitterns, marsh harriers, wintering ducks and cranes on passage. A trail with a floating boardwalk and hide towers threads it, with the lake islands beyond.
