Monti Martani, Perugia
Umbria
The Monti Martani ridge between Spoleto and Todi is Umbria's most forgotten mountain range — a long oak-forest ridge with the finest panoramic views in the region (Assisi, Spoleto, Todi, Perugia all visible simultaneously from the 1,094 m summit). Wild boar. Roe deer. Porcupine. The ridge has no ski infrastructure, no tourist facilities. Dogs off-leash throughout.
