Monti Lepini — Cori Gorge Walk
Lazio
The Monti Lepini above the Pontine Marshes are one of Lazio's most overlooked natural areas — a series of limestone ridges rising to 1,536 m (Monte Semprevisa) that shelter the Pontine plain from the east. Roman aqueducts used the springs emerging from the base of the range for millennia. Cave hermitages are carved into the limestone above Norma. Wolves confirmed resident since 2018.
