Sentiero dei Monti Ernici
Lazio
The Ernici range forms a lesser-known southern extension of the central Apennines, its beech-forested ridges offering long, quiet trails compared to the busier Simbruini and Sibillini ranges nearby. From the higher points near Guarcino, views extend east toward the peaks of Abruzzo's Marsica region. The range holds several small karst caves and sinkholes typical of the area's limestone geology.
