Monte Zoccolaro & Schiena dell'Asino, Etna

From the Zafferana side, a forest-and-ginestra path climbs to Monte Zoccolaro (1,739 m) and the Schiena dell'Asino ridge, both perched right on the lip of the Valle del Bove — a 1,000 m deep amphitheatre of black lava spilling from the summit craters. One of Etna's best short walks.
