Monte Zatta, Val d'Aveto

Monte Zatta forms a green whaleback between the Aveto and Sturla valleys, its northern slopes covered by one of Liguria's finest old beech forests. The Alta Via runs the length of the crest to the 1,404 m summit, where the trees open to a view of the whole Tigullio coast and the Apennine watershed.
