Monte Viglio, Monti Simbruini

Lazio

Monte Viglio (2,156 m) is the highest peak in Lazio and sits in the Monti Simbruini natural park. The park's springs supply Rome with drinking water — the Anio river rising here feeds the Acquedotto Bruna system. Wolves are confirmed in the park; the summit view takes in the entire chain from Abruzzo to the Ciociaria hills.
