Monte Tobbio (1,092 m) on the Ligurian-Piedmontese border above Gavi DOCG wine zone is one of the finest viewpoints in the southwestern Apennines. The summit ridge gives simultaneous views of the Ligurian Sea (south) and the Po plain with Monviso (north). The approach from Capanne di Marcarolo passes through the Parco delle Capanne di Marcarolo. Wolf is resident in this park since 2002.
