Monte Terminillo

Monte Terminillo (2,216 m) is the highest summit in Lazio and has been called 'Rome's mountain' since Mussolini promoted skiing here in the 1930s. The summer hiking on the summit ridge reveals the Apennine crest, the Gran Sasso to the north-east and, on exceptional days, the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian coasts simultaneously.
