From the Pintura di Bolognola ski meadows a path climbs open pasture and beech edges to Monte Rotondo (2,102 m) and its neighbour Cima di Pietralta, with a view over the Fiastra lake, the Bove cirque and the whole Sibillini watershed. Golden eagles and returning wolves range the ridge.
