From the hamlet of Chamois-side pastures or from Promiod, a pasture path climbs the broad back of Monte Pancherot to a summit that stares straight up the Valtournenche at the Matterhorn, with the whole chain from Monte Rosa to the Grandes Murailles alongside. Marmots and few other walkers.
