Monte Orlando is the wooded promontory that shelters Gaeta's old town, part of the Riviera di Ulisse regional park. Paths climb through pine and maquis to the drum of the Mausoleo di Lucio Munazio Planco on the summit and drop to the Montagna Spaccata — a cleft splitting the cliff to the sea, with the tiny Grotta del Turco below.
