Monte Murano, Genga

Rising between the Sentino and Esino gorges, Monte Murano is a long green whaleback with the small pilgrimage church of Beata Vergine di Macereto on its crest. Paths from Pierosara or Castelletta climb through oak and orchid meadow to the ridge, with the Frasassi cliffs, the Rossa gorge and Monte San Vicino in view.
