Passo del Moro — Macugnaga

Piedmont

The Passo del Moro (2,868 m) was a trading route between Piedmont and the Valais long before roads were built. The approach from Macugnaga climbs below the vertiginous Monte Rosa east face — 2,500 m of vertical relief above the valley. The summit reveals the Swiss Saas valley and Saas-Fee glacier.
