Monte Limbara (1,362 m) is the highest point of north-east Sardinia's Gallura region, covered in cork oak and holm oak up to 1,000 m. The summit has military telecommunications infrastructure but extraordinary views: Corsica 15 km to the north, the Sardinian coast all around, and on exceptional days, Etna above the horizon to the east.
