Monte Grappa — Crespano Circuit
Veneto
The Crespano del Grappa approach to Monte Grappa avoids the road from the north and gives a more gradual ascent through meadows and old chestnut forest. The wildflower meadows in May–June are exceptional for the Veneto Prealps. WWI Austrian mountain positions are encountered on the upper slopes. The ridge walk has views over the Treviso plain to Venice and north to the Dolomites.
