From Grimaldi di Ventimiglia or the Ciotti a long path climbs olive terraces, then Mediterranean scrub and open grass to the frontier ridge and the summit of Monte Grammondo, with France on the far side. The sea is almost vertically below, and the view runs from Corsica to the Mercantour.
