From Passo dei Casoni or the hamlet of Tornolo the path climbs through deep beechwood onto the bare summit ridge of the Gottero, on the boundary of Liguria, Tuscany and Emilia. The top gives a rare combined view of the Apuan Alps, the Ligurian Sea and the northern Apennine.
